I buy This Panasonic TC P50V10 after viewing this TV Review and Sony LCD TV and others, such as Panasonic plasma models (G10, S10). ). Even this higher end V10 is less money than a comparably sized LCD with several hundreds of dollars. I choose this model over a set S for the network capabilites (Movie rental streaming Amazon is pretty cool) and set G 96Hz 24p film mode for it.
Image quality is more than my Sony LCD with deeper black. Bright colors and deep well off-axis viewing. I generally stick “standard” and “the game” picture setting. Show seems more responsive than the PS3 to my LCD for my game. THX mode is also good to see Blu-ray movies – not too pale, but perhaps bit too green. We try to avoid from the game too long to stop to avoid burning the.
The 4 cooling fan installed on top of the unit is relatively quiet, I do not see them. LCD is not good in our room with more sun and sound quality also seems better on the Sony and Panasonic, but may be more.
The quality of picture, smooth motion without artifact, deepest blacks, and complete picture customization features makes me wonder why anyone would want to spend at least $500 more for an LED LCD TV to even come close to this plasma. Concerns about glare and reflections that have plagued previous plasmas are not evident with this model. This has to be the best plasma out there today and possibly the best value on the market for a HDTV.
Overall a positive experience, recommended.
